Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American actress and producer well-known for her performances in the shows she performed in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis, a writer and actress who works in the fields of theater, film, and television. Her career began with theater, and was later featured in a number of television shows and in mainstream and independent film. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she was praised by critics and received several nominations as well as prizes, including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. The actress made her professional debut as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. The credits on stage are Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production of Joe Turner. In her film career she is most famous for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her character as a regular on ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
