Carey, who is almost 5'10 and was once an iconic American models for fashion. Designers of the top calibre, including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren loved her. Her father, an accomplished scientist who received the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists' 1979 Scientist of the Year prize, is a renowned geologist. Carey went to all over the world because of her father's work. The model began modeling for a part-time basis when she was a student at university at the University of Colorado and caught the attention of a representative from the Ford model Agency in New York. The year was 1980 when she emigrated to France where she briefly resided in Paris and Bordeaux and then returned in New York in order to continue her modeling career. The model was featured on Vogue as well as Glamour covers. While modeling she was enrolled in literary studies full-time in New York University. As she studied acting in the Neighborhood Playhouse, New York, her enthusiasm for the field grew. She had a small part in Club Paradise with Robin Williams in 1986. She loves rock climbing ski, windsurfing, and skiing.
