Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota, journalist, writer, anchor for CNN's morning show "New Day," as well as a Westport, CT resident, has been elected to the board of trustees for Westport Country Playhouse. Camerota, who has been an editor for more than 30 years, reported on news events as well as international. She won one Emmy Award in her early career for covering the arrest for Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award after she broke the devastating news of the hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone, of Stamford was appointed as an honorary trustee in recognition of her time as the board's chair since 2007. Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport has been appointed chair of the Board following having served on the Board in 2013. Czekaj Farber replaces Barbara Streicker, a Westport resident, who was the board's chairperson since October 2015. She continues her service as board chair, which began in 2006. The board of trustees comprises 26 people.
