
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died January 19 2008. She was an American film voice actress, voice actor and television host. Pleshette began her career in theatre and appeared in films in the late 1950s. Then, she became an important actor in films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). In later years, she was a part of different television productions, and was often as a guest actor. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, 1972-1978, where she received several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on the 31st of January 1937 in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish and were immigrants from Russia or Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was a stage manager in both the Paramount Theater as well as the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
