Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss' first taste of fame as a fiddler came in 1990, when she was just 19 years old, and received the Grammy Award in the category of Best Bluegrass Album. The third album of Krauss, I've Got That Old Feeling won her the honor, despite the fact that she was only 19 years old. Too Late to Cry was the first album she released in her Champaign Illinois local's age, sixteen. She had already signed to Rounder Records, one of the best folk labels in the age group of fourteen. The accomplishments of Krauss's talent at such a young age and stunning virtuosity, have been measured by her devotion to bluegrass. The oldest of the genres, but perhaps one of the least appreciated in traditional American music forms. Krauss is now an adult, having grown from a young teen star to an experienced musician and producer.
